ROOTED IN THE LAND, GROWING FOR THE FUTURE
WASIOJA RANCH
Simplicity | Sustainability | Stewardship
Connected to the land and cultivating something special:
On our small family farm, we are growing a diverse orchard of fruit and olive trees, a rotational grazing program for grass-fed cattle, and a working garden that feeds our family and neighbors. Our vision is grounded in regenerative practices and a deep respect for the land—and we believe farming can be a powerful way to restore, not just extract. Wasioja isn’t just a place—it’s a model for what’s possible when small farms work with nature, not against it.
Thoughtful Water Usage
Every drop counts. That’s why we’ve invested in:
Efficient drip irrigation systems
Drought-resilient crop choices like olives
Topographic and hydrologic assessments to understand our recharge potential
Monitoring of well health and groundwater levels
Regenerative Farming
Our orchard includes 60 fruit trees and 700 young olive trees, with plans to expand. Our cattle lease supports 30 head of grass-fed cows. The cattle are managed holistically to promote biodiversity, minimize erosion, and support a healthy carbon cycle. We rotate cattle through pasture for soil regeneration, mulch deeply, plant cover crops, and avoid synthetic inputs. Additionally, our family garden produces seasonal vegetables and fruits for personal use and community sharing.
A Teaching Ground
We’re not just growing food—we’re growing awareness. Our long-term vision includes farm tours, educational programming, and on-site demonstrations that invite others to experience sustainable agriculture in action. We’ve done our homework: commissioned geological and hydrological studies, reviewed recharge patterns, and built a farm plan around what the land can support. Stewardship isn’t just our value—it’s our operating model.

WE BELIEVE SMALL FARMS CAN LEAD THE WAY
Wasioja Ranch is our humble effort to restore balance to agriculture - thoughtfuly, locally, with love for the land.
Old California. New Story.
At Wasioja Ranch, we’re blending tradition with intention. Dry-farmed orchards. Rotational grazing. A working garden that feeds more than just our table. We believe in farming that honors the land, not just extracts from it. In inviting others to slow down, reconnect, and rethink what rural life can be.
